Shakeology vs …

by Rochelle Griffin on July 1, 2011

apple vs orange Shakeology vs ...This is a post that is a long time coming. I’ve been hearing stirrings and rumblings over the past weeks, but I didn’t really pay attention. Well, those rumblings are becoming louder, so I feel that I must interject my opinion. Again, this is MY blog and MY opinion.

Shakeology vs Body by Vi. This is the current topic of interest that people on Facebook are talking about. Which is better? Which is more cost-effective? Should I use this or that?

Quite frankly, you can’t compare the two, although I HAVE seen pictures of people trying to (even though the information provided is NOT correct…fyi.) It’s like comparing apples to oranges. It makes NO sense. If you want to make a comparison of Body by Vi, a protein shake, you have to compare it to other PROTEIN SHAKES, such as Slim Fast, Mycoplex, Met-Rx and other protein powders out there.

Shakeology is literally in a class by itself. It’s not just about losing weight…it’s about BEING HEALTHY!

It’s NOT a protein shake…although it DOES have protein in it (actually MORE than a Body by Vi shake.) It is, instead, a combination of 70 whole-food ingredients found all of the world. Shakeology’s tag line is “The Healthiest Meal of the Day.” The ingredients works in synergy with each other and with our body.

IMG 0392 Shakeology vs ...In the clinical trial, participants using Shakeology had their blood pressure & cholesterol lowered, reduced their oxidative stress, reduced their cardiovascular risk factors, AND as an added benefit, lost weight! Win-win for all!

To be fair, I DID do an Internet search for any clinical trials using Body by Vi, but I was unable to locate any. They may exist, but I am not aware of them. I am in no way knocking their product. I simply couldn’t find them.

So is there a difference in price between Shakeology and Body by Vi? OF COURSE!!!!!!!! You get what you pay for. Paying $4/shake for Shakeology is a drop in the bucket for the return you receive.

So which should you drink…Shakeology? Body by Vi? Well, it’s obviously a personal choice, but I believe Shakeology is the superior product OVERALL. It offers ingredients that Body by Vi doesn’t. If you are interested, I’d be happy to send you a sample of Shakeology, along with instructions on how to make it.

I would like to sit down and go more in to depth on this comparison. The biggest thing that is left out of the comparison that is really important is the compensation plan.
Let me know when you would like to meet up

Looking forward to meeting you

Thanks
Mark

Hey Mark! It’s left out because I’m not taking the comp plan into consideration at all. It’s not about the biz. I’m speaking my opinion specifically about products. Hope you are having a fabulous day!! :)

Mark, if you want to discuss the details of a head to head ingredient to ingredient comparison, I’ve already done the work. I’m a Pediatric Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree as well as a minor in nutrition. Feel free to contact me. Rochelle is right, compensation plans, policies and procedures, and business talk have nothing to do with quality nutrition.

I just wanted to chime in here, I’ve done some research in the past, and someone who does Body By Vi-doesn’t simply do just the shakes. That’s not how the company works. You have to buy a “package” that includes daily supplements. All in all-it comes out to 8 bucks a day. UHm HELLO-alot more than Shakeology. And I’m just talking about price. You won’t find much ingredient info on the internet because they don’t want you to know about it. BUT! I have some ingredient info for you. This is from a Vegan/Raw website-but the owners of this blog broke it down barny style as to what exactly is in this stuff. http://www.youngandraw.com/what-is-visalus-really/
